Fall Into Rest: Retreat for Women of Color

  • Greenville Yoga 3221 Old Buncombe Road Greenville, SC, 29609 United States (map)

Hustle Culture? Soft Life? The topic is everywhere, where do I land?

We’ll explore the topic of rest, and what it means for us. It’s interesting how deep this subject can go, and how it expands beyond lying your head on a pillow. Rest is a refuge for our nervous system, a chance for our intuition to show up for us and be a guiding light. Perhaps that is how our grandmother’s had so much insight, they were not afraid of a nap! Our elders spoke of dreams and insights they received in rest. There is a wisdom there that we cannot afford to become lost to us.

Enjoy soft body movement with music. Offerings of activities, journaling, & conversations regarding rest utilizing the book Rest is Resistance by Tricia Hersey. A guided Tea Meditation with tea blends from The African Violet. A sweet Restorative Yoga session to complete our time together with a Crystal Bowl Sound Bath. Finally, a special Candle Veneration practice.

Sliding Scale Cost from $45.00 to $75.00 *book included at this price.

Spaces are limited, registration will be live July 9th.

Don’t identify as a woman of color and want to contribute? Purchase a space for an attendee. Thank you for your support!
