Sonci Carey

Students often describe Sonci as “magic.” She teaches yoga as a practice of remembrance: a return to the body, the breath, and the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to abandon in the name of survival. After years of moving through debilitating depression, chronic fatigue, disconnection, and feeling a little different from those around her, she found healing not through perfection, but through softness, nature, ritual, and learning how to feel safe within herself again. Guided by the personal mantra Do Less, Be More, her classes welcome students into sacred spaces where they can simply be exactly as they are.

During a life-defining year of solo travel through Southeast Asia in search of belonging, home, and something deeper she couldn’t yet name, yoga became one of the few places where she could fully exhale and reconnect with herself. Her classes emphasize nervous system regulation, gentle movement, spacious rest, guided meditation, self-inquiry, and occasional sound healing with tuning forks.

Her offerings especially resonate with tender hearts, deep feelers, seekers, the outliers, the guarded, and the hopeful — anyone longing to soften, restore connection, and return home to themselves.
