    If you are interested in becoming a yoga teacher or simply want to learn more about yoga for your own growth and well-being, this training is for you. Our 200-hour program takes 15 months to complete, ensuring a depth of information and time to assimilate and understand it all. We are a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level and are currently up-leveling to their advanced standards of study. We believe in depth of study over time so you have time to soak it all in.

    We have hosted students from Georgia, Tennessee, North & South Carolina. Graduates have gone on to teach around the United States, Germany and England. Graduates from our program have opened successful yoga studios such as One Love Yoga in Taylors, SC; Be Humble in Dallas, GA; Total Being Yoga in Matthews, NC.

  • Segment 1: Living the Five Virtues

    Segment 1 and a signature piece of our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program is “Living the Five Virtues.” If you wish to train with us, this piece is required to move on to “Architecture of the Asanas.” This course gives us a common language from which to begin and will show you if you are ready to fall more deeply into life and lead as a yoga teacher.

    When your practice is calling you to go beyond the physical… Join us and learn how to live a life full of meaning and integrity. Witness your actions as they become more mindful and align with your beliefs. Immerse yourself in our six-month study with a group of dedicated students who are ready to delve more deeply into the principles and traditions of Yoga. This is a perfect course for anyone who wishes to soak up yogic wisdom or become an example of leadership in their field. Join us for a course that includes courageous personal reflection that allows the highest version of yourself to shine through, and your best life to emerge.

    Each weekend we will study one of the Five Causes as taught by Max Strom: gratitude, forgiveness, honesty, kindness, and humility. During the sixth weekend, you will create a personal code of conduct in order to live your Yoga each day. You will be required to read one book for each meeting and home practices will be given should you choose to get the most out of your experience. If you plan to attend, please read Max Strom’s “A Life Worth Breathing” prior to our first weekend together. Weekends will include:

    mindfulness meditation (teachings and practice)

    2 hour all levels yoga practice

    book talk and discussion

    class: one Saturday per month from 1-4pm

  • Segment 2: Architecture of the Asanas

    Join Liz Lawrence of Greenville Yoga, Jamie Elmer of Movement Therapy Co for a special 200-hour offering. Liz and Jamie have studied with Max Strom since 2000 and have continued their studies with world-renowned teachers such as Sarah Powers, Erich Schiffmann, Annie Carpenter, Shiva Rea and Bryan Kest.

    Discover breathwork, asana, and meditation as a way to change your life. We will cover a range of foundational breathing practices, yoga poses and meditations. You will learn alignment and modifications for each. Skeletal and muscular anatomy will be taught within the context of each group of asanas. Through the course you will understand the how and why of sequencing to become a safe and mindful teacher.

    This course will allow you to become a teacher who is a leader in the field of Yoga. Learn how to communicate clearly, teach in levels and inspire your students. Time will be spent practice teaching and you will be given clear, constructive feedback. Learn key points about the business of yoga that will be essential for your success as a teacher. Each teacher will leave with a deeper understanding of yoga as a spiritual tradition and a way to transform the body, mind and heart.

    Course includes training manual, all 9-weekends, a subscription to Jamie Elmer’s streaming yoga site and tutorials, continued mentorship beyond YTT, (if wanted) half-price monthly unlimited classes from Greenville Yoga, information on how to register with Yoga Alliance after completion of your coursework.

    Classes: Saturdays & Sundays 9am – 6pm with a 1 hour break for lunch
