Hanna Allen
Hanna’s yoga journey began as a fun self-care routine and evolved into a cornerstone of daily life. She started with hot yoga. When summer became too hot for heated rooms, she wanted to explore other options. Greenville Yoga’s community class fostered a space where she felt completely at home. She discovered the missing pieces to her practice as she attended different classes. She explored the connection between body, mind, and breath, and she found herself in the process. Hanna spent years at Greenville Yoga as a student before making the decision to deepen her practice with the GY 200-hour teacher training.
Hanna’s classes focus on mindfulness and self-compassion. She understands each path is personal, and yoga rises to meet one wherever they are on the path. Yoga allows her to feel most at ease in her body. She enjoys sharing the tools that serve her well beyond the mat. Helping others know their bodies and community outreach are close to her heart. Hanna leads a weekly gentle flow women’s class, centered on grace and loving kindness.
Outside of yoga, Hanna keeps busy with a job as a cook and mother to a son. She teaches at GY as a substitute and makes time to take classes because she believes that being a lifelong student of yoga is an indispensable part of the journey. Yoga found Hanna when she needed it most, and its impact on her life is profound! She is grateful to have a beautiful space and community where she continues to thrive and grow.
