Yin for the Win: a full nervous system reset

  • Greenville Yoga 3221 Old Buncombe Road Greenville, SC, 29609 United States (map)

Beyond the Stretch. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Designed for Transformation.

Transform the way you practice, teach, and experience Yin Yoga. This Five Element Yin Method Teacher Training is a transformational journey for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who are ready to move beyond seeing Yin Yoga as simply a deep stretch and begin understanding it as a profound practice for cultivating balance, healing, and connection.

Rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taoist philosophy, and Five Element Theory, this immersive training explores the energetic foundations of Yin Yoga and how the body's meridian system, connective tissues, and natural rhythms work together to support physical, emotional, mental, and energetic wellbeing.

Through a blend of experiential practice, personal reflection, education, and teaching methodology, you'll develop the confidence to guide Yin Yoga experiences that are intentional, therapeutic, and deeply transformative.

Throughout the training, you'll journey through the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—discovering the unique qualities, seasonal rhythms, emotional landscapes, and Yin Yoga practices associated with each. As you deepen your own embodied understanding, you'll also learn how to translate this wisdom into meaningful classes that help your students reconnect with themselves on every level.

The Five Element Yin Method is built around five progressive phases:

  • Foundation / Earth: Build a strong foundation in Yin Yoga philosophy, anatomy, and the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

  • Flow / Water: Explore the body's energetic pathways, meridians, and the wisdom of the Five Elements.

  • Embody / Wood: Experience the practices and growth personally through reflection, seasonal exploration, and embodied learning.

  • Guide / Fire: Learn to create purposeful sequences, hold space with confidence, and teach Yin Yoga beyond physical postures.

  • Transform / Metal: Integrate your knowledge through practice teaching, feedback, and refinement so you can confidently share transformational Yin experiences with others.

By the end of this training, you won't simply know more about Yin Yoga, you'll embody a deeper understanding of its philosophy and confidently teach classes that support lasting transformation for yourself and your students.

This is more than a certification. It's an invitation to reconnect with the wisdom of the body, the rhythms of nature, and the healing power of Yin Yoga.
