Join us for a Summer time reset to help beat the heat of summer. Summer is the time of the heart. When in balance, we are active, alive and full of vitality which includes our feeling of interconnectedness. When out of balance, this heart energy can lead to disconnection and the inability to be comfortable being still. This Yin session targets the upper body channels which are affected in the heat of summer. “Heart chi is considered the monarch that looks after the whole kingdom.” A two-hour yin series dedicated to the heart will leave you feeling nourished from the inside out, with a deep sense of stillness, love and connection.
Coming into a pose in a consciously slow yin way and staying for many minutes helps us go deeper within our natural ranges of motion in the joints of the hips and lower back to alleviate physical pain and energetic stagnation. Yin style targets the connective tissue in the body which wraps around and through each muscle and joint. When doing long held poses, we are loading the connective tissue & ligaments with gentle pressure and pulling. This relieves the body physically as well as energetically and emotionally.
