Retreat for Women of Color: Blooming, a Mindful Awakening

  • Greenville Yoga 3221 Old Buncombe Road Greenville, SC, 29609 United States (map)

According to the natural rhythm of nature, our energetic new year is in the spring. There is movement, flowers are budding & blooming, and the gray landscape is slowly becoming vibrant. In that slow awakening, we will flow into an Egyptian yoga practice. This African yoga system is a slow, breath-centered practice. We utilize the breath to intentionally move life-force energy throughout the body with poses or shapes that correspond with a specific breathing pattern. Essentially connecting to one's vital energy, aliveness, & inner radiance. Here, we find more balance and energy to move, as we have more Sun or Yang energy to motivate and inspire us forward. Mindfully awakening to what we have stored within ourselves during winter, we witness it all bloom in its own time. Our practices will inspire us into this beautiful time to magnify and express our unique beingness.

In the spirit of movement, we will practice walking meditation, breathwork, & Egyptian Yoga. All perfect for this time of awakening from the rest of winter. We will continue our journaling, and mindfulness practices. A lovely crystal bowl sound bath will complete our time together.

Cost: Sliding scale $45-$60
