When it feels you have lost your way or your faith in humanity is dwindling, it may be time to come home to yourself. After taking our first course, Living the Five Virtues, you may find yourself missing the spiritual community, the place to uncover, investigate and share the truth of who you are. In our next piece of the puzzle, we invite you to delve deeper as we explore the idea that virtue is something that is living, movable; changing from moment to moment. As we grow and change, living from a place of virtue will grow and change. We shift from an outer authority or ethical code, to living from our inner resources that are ever changing in response to the moment at hand.
Themes include:
foundations of personal ethics and spirituality
presence, integrity and alignment
ethics of rest and resistance
simplicity and the middle path
living with compassion and resilience
The Five Virtues 2.0 will give us time to explore your own inner knowing through meditation, yoga, readings and communal book discussion time. Each weekend will help you in cultivating a more conscious, compassionate, and ethical life.
First book is The Awakened Brain by Lisa Miller. Please read by May 4th.
