People We Love: YOU!
I’ve been thinking a lot about Greenville Yoga lately. Since I’ve been back from Sedona, something has become very clear to me: This is where I want to be. I want to be here with each of YOU! When I was meeting with Blake and Amanda (our Studio Stewards gathering (manager and social media maven) they shared that I have buried the lead! After my journey, I realized Arizona will always be my happy place. There is something about the desert that fills me up. But Greenville is home. And this time, I mean that with my whole Self. I am not sure the chapter after this one, but this current chapter I am ready to be here. Body. Heart. Mind. All in the same place at the same time. I knew when I came home, it was time to put both feet in. That feeling has awakened a new energy and a new vision for Greenville Yoga. I truly want to be even more intentional in our slogan, “You Belong Here.” My dream is for this to be a place where we experience more humanity in a time of AI. More connection when so much of the world feels divided. More peace, comfort, belonging and even joy in community.
As fate would have it, the American Yoga Council was launcing a course while I was away. I happened to be home that day due to the fires (see I haven’t even gotten THERE in my newsletters!). So I sat in on a webinar and what she said made SO much sense. You can say You Belong Here, but what are you actually doing? Are you truly seeing your students and helping them succeed? My favorite take away was, “No one comes to yoga hoping it doesn’t work out.” This was a mind shift for me. So I signed up and have been meeting every week, two times a week witih 12 other studios and 2 teachers. The main teacher owns a studio just like ours- one room, 24 people max in a smaller area. She speaks my language. None of this is about sales. It’s that we know yoga works it transforms our lives and makes the ups and downs part of the process. And we know yoga works best when we show up consistently for ourselves and when there are supports in place when we need it.
For our current students: You may have noticed we're making some changes to help create exactly that, consistency and support. We're making it easier to show up for yourself. And we want to celebrate you! We've been rethinking our pricing and membership options around something we know makes a difference: Consistency. Not perfection. Not pushing yourself to come every day. Just showing up exactly as you are.
We are making memberships more affordable with different access points. If you already are a member you can stay right where you are, or we’ve created new tiers of membership with lots of extra perks! Feel free to peruse and reply to this email or call me if you have questions or would like some support in choosing your next right steps.
For those of you who haven’t been in a while: We'd love to have you back. If you've been away from your mat, consider this your invitation. In honor of the changes we are creating, we’d love to see you here. We're offering former students 2 Weeks of Unlimited Yoga for $33 so you can come back, explore the new schedule, meet some of our new teachers, reconnect with familiar faces, and see what's happening at Greenville Yoga.
For Everyone: We're also having more fun around here as teachers and leaders. We're checking in with students, making sure you're actually using your membership or intro passes, helping you find classes that fit your life, and creating a community where people know they are seen. Not automations, but real life human connections! I’ve stripped away the automated replies so it’s actually me or one of our teachers that is there for you. (That’s why you will see mistakes sometimes.)
And we've revamped our schedule, too with some new offerings, including classes with more strengthening and challenging movement for those days when you want to work a little harder (new EmPowered Flow with Kristen) or classes that include and celebrate our diverse community (Honor Your Body with Neva).
I believe Greenville Yoga is entering a really beautiful new chapter. My heart is in. My feet are in. I'm here. And I'd love for you to come be part of what's next. Come as you are. Leave feeling more like your Self.
With love, ~Liz
p.s. For those of you that have been consistent all the while… don’t worry, we are cooking up some celebrations for you as well! We can only unroll so many things at a time. Your turn is coming soon… I promise. (Nan- I heard you when you said, “Where’s my gift?” It’s coming soon!)
