People We Love: Table Rock Tea

One of the things we love most about Greenville Yoga is that our community extends far beyond the walls of the studio. As we enter our new season, we are creating even more ways for us to connect. Often, it’s a person in our community who introduces us to something, or someone,we might never have found on our own.

Enter Christopher. You may have practiced next to him. He comes in quietly, but lately we’ve noticed him opening up. Get him talking about tea… and you see him lit from within. Christopher is one of our regulars, and when we say regular, we mean he takes class from all of us. (We’re pretty sure he’s made his way through the entire teaching team.) He’s also a tea grower. Thanks to Christopher, we started drinking tea from Table Rock Tea Company, a local tea farm in Pickens County. And once we started, we were hooked.

So this month, our member perk is a little field trip to the source. We've already given them our total number, so please contact them directly to make sure there's room for you.

🍂FREE Greenville Yoga Table Rock Tea Tour
🍂Saturday, September 19 | 2 PM

We originally planned this as a member-only experience, but we love sharing good things, so we’ve opened it up to everyone. The tour is free, but you'll need to call Table Rock Tea Company directly to reserve your spot. As a side note, if you're a new Greenville Yoga member this month, you'll get a little taste of Table Rock Tea in your new member gift- tea straight from the source.

If you haven’t tried it, here are a few favorites around here:

  • Westminster is my personal favorite- a light green tea with apricot and sage.

  • My son swears by Travelers Rest when he wants something to help him settle in for the night.

  • And the Greenville Yoga fan favorite? Wahalla Masala Chai. It might just become a studio staple.

I love that a yoga studio can lead to things like this. A Saturday morning class turns into a friendship. A friendship introduces us to a local, organic tea farmer. A cup of tea becomes a new favorite. And suddenly, our community gets a little bigger. That's what You Belong Here means to us. More connection, community, a little light in your day, AND a really good cup of tea.

Hope to see you at the farm or in studio soon!
