Connection
Connection… It’s a buzzword right now. An important word right now. For a long time, our connection was only virtual. For a short time, we felt safe to gather again. And now we return to uncertainty. Do we go into class and breathe together? Do we stay home and say hi through our screens? How do we maintain connection at a time like this? My answer: It depends! (Those of you in teacher training, I hear you laughing. This is always my go to answer.)
Everyone has a different capacity for solitude, for safety, comfort and human interaction. We at Greenville Yoga have made sure to meet everyone’s needs on all ends of the spectrum through in person, outdoor and virtual yoga classes. But every now and then we need real, tried and true face to face connection.
This Fall, Saturday October 9th to be exact, the Gathering will not be televised. We invite you to join us for some face to face human interaction in the safest way possible to celebrate our 16th Anniversary! Come join us outside in Rain’s Garden to plant plants, mulch flower beds, swing in our new porch swings, eat tasty food from Comal 864, listen to Henry & Ava Jazz Duo (my 17 year old son!)… and most importantly enjoy some face to face real live connection.
In order to keep you safe:
We have extended party hours
Studio doors will be open
Garage doors will be up
Tables will be adequately spaced
Food will be brought to us for purchase in lieu of a potluck from 12-2pm
We will have plenty of fresh air and plenty of outdoor space
Masks are always welcome
We cannot wait to see you in real life on Saturday, October 9th at the Gathering, a celebration of our community and 16 years together.
