Yoga Therapy for Navigating the Transition through Perimenopause into Menopause
Did you know that yoga and healthy lifestyle choices can make a huge impact in reducing and/ or managing the symptoms most commonly experienced during perimenopause? In this series, Kristen will provide you with yogic practices and tools that will help you to reconnect to Self, to create more awareness and compassion around healthy lifestyle choices, and to help you feel more empowered and excited about this transition towards the second half of your life after perimenopause. Let this be your invitation for a recalibration of how you might view perimenopause. And a beautiful bonus, you will gain a community of like-minded women to share, learn from, and be inspired by.
During this 8-week program starting Saturday, January 13th, we will dive into many of the symptoms commonly experienced during perimenopause - hot flashes, insomnia/brain fog, anger/irritation, bone loss, weight gain, anxiety, depression, and low libido and explore practices to help minimize these big disruptors. This small group yoga therapy series will include mindful movement, yin and restorative yoga, yoga nidra, pranayama (breath work), meditation, reflection, and community connection. Because this is a series, you will have the opportunity to practice and absorb the exercises between sessions to see how they integrate and land in your body.
This series, taught by Kristen Albert, is limited to 10 students. All Levels Welcome. If you are unable to attend a class in person, a Zoom recording of the session can be emailed to practice in your own time. The total cost of this series is $250 and will include 8 group sessions plus one individual 75-minute assessment, to be completed before the start of the series. These individual assessments are an opportunity for us to establish individual measurable goals that are specific to you, in regard to managing your symptoms relating to perimenopause/menopause and helping to find more ease and joy in your life. As a group, we will also create group goals for our time together based on individual goals. Handouts from each session as well as numerous studies, articles, and podcasts will be provided for reference and further exploration.

Eight 2 hour therapeutic classes
One individual 75-minute assessment

Handouts with all the practices as well as many other resources for optional further exploration

Kristen Albert is certified through Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 200, and RYT 500 level and is currently enrolled in an additional 880 hr accredited Yoga Therapy training through East Coast Yoga Therapy Program
