Did you know that our body is created to cope with stress? Our body knows exactly what to do in acute stress situations and knows how to heal and rebuild itself afterwards. The problem is that in our way of life stress has become constant. If we never get to the point where we can relax and regenerate, our stress becomes chronic and that can make us sick.
Yoga is a fantastic tool to help the body and the mind to regenerate and heal after stress.
This workshop will give you a brief introduction to how our body reacts to acute and chronic stress and will guide you through a “stress-repair sequence”. This will show you how you can help your own body relieve stress and tap into the body’s own healing resources. There will be some gentle flows, some restorative poses and a guided meditation.
This will be an in-person class. Class size will be limited to 12 people. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance as this class will sell out.
