Conscious Dance Party

  • Greenville Yoga 3221 Old Buncombe Road Greenville, SC, 29609 United States (map)

Conscious Dance Parties and Embodied AbunDANCE offer a non-verbal space to connect with your body. It is a place, to listen and respond spontaneously to the sensations, signals, images, emotions, thoughts that reside in our nervous system and attune to ourselves in an authentic way. Offering a variety of musical genres and styles, we have a chance to surprise and challenge our bodies to move in new, unexpected ways.

Our bodies and body states let our brains know what we are feeling, and giving the body a chance to lead, and determine what we do, provides a wellness that is often not afforded in the normal routine of busy life or structured classes. To "unpack" what is being held and release or explore what is there, even if it is simply giving ourselves a chance to exercise or stretch into places we were not aware of for the sheer pleasure of it.

With his knowledge of the body as a representation of the unconscious mind, the practices of movement, qigong, dance, and martial arts are seen as powerful means of penetrating to the very core of our true selves, while strengthening and balancing this divine vessel. He is dedicated to supporting his own and others’ process of self awareness, growth and well-being through his offerings.
