Class Descriptions

All Bodies Welcome

  • Our teachers encourage students to work within their own limits, making the safety of each student the highest priority.

  • We offer a variety of styles of yoga that appeal to a wide range of student needs.

  • Our classes have nothing to do with how it looks in the mirror, but more how you feel in each pose and each day.

  • We offer workshops, retreats and teacher trainings that allow you to deepen the understanding of yourself, your physical body and your yoga practice.

Welcome to Beginner's Mind Yoga. You will enjoy this class if you are new to yoga, have some aches and pains or simply prefer a slow class with no weight bearing on hands and knees. We begin on the floor, do a few standing poses together, return to the floor, then rest. We will go slow and a lot of alignment cues will be given to set you up for an embarrassment free and pain free yoga experience. It's a great way to begin or refine your yoga practice or to remember the power of the simplicity of yoga for healing. Show up (virtually or in person) just as you are and we will do the rest together.

Beginner’s Mind Yoga

The moment you step on your mat and take a full deep breath, it is a reset for your entire life. Find yourself leaving class feeling balanced and ready to face whatever happens next. Learn the basics of how to breathe and move safely in and out of the yoga poses. The effect of these classes are cumulative- the more you come, the larger the buffer is between you and the chaos of the modern world. Class pace and energy will be determined by the class level, the teacher, and the students in the room for any given class.

Level 1 & 2 offers more instruction and cues to help guide you into and out of poses safely. Perfect for beginners or those wanting less weight bearing on hands and knees.

All Levels allows you to chose how you feel on each day. Chose from options laid out by teachers to customize your practice.

Level 2 & 3 invites you to create a moving meditation. Pace varies by teacher, but less cues given and more challenging poses are offered.

Flow & Yin / Yin & Flow combines our two most popular offerings. We honor the energy of the day- yin first in the morning, yin to close in the evening. Each class includes breathwork, slower long holds of poses, and deep release for the mind, body, and heart.

Inspired Flow Yoga

Prenatal yoga is for all pregnant people. Class is suitable for all trimesters and for all levels of yoga experience.  We move through postures that are intended to bring ease to common pregnancy discomforts, emphasize diaphragmatic breathing and movement of the pelvic floor while preparing you for birth and parenthood.  This is a special space to gather with others on their pregnancy journey- with the hope that you may create deep lasting friendships and support.

Prenatal Yoga

Restorative yoga brings our body into a state of healing and restoration. Restorative yoga helps to bring our nervous system into a state of balance without any active stretch or engagements in the body. Restorative yoga relies on blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets to create a passive release for both body and mind. It’s all about the prop usage. When our nervous system registers safety in the restorative poses, the healing processes within our body begin.

Postures Are Held For 5 to 20 Minutes. Props are used (a lot) in order to make sure that the body is supported properly. These props help to create a sense of comfort and support so you are essentially wrapped up in a cocoon of props during practice. The long-held, fully supported poses allow the nervous system time to regulate and bring us into balance.

Restorative Yoga

Warning! Yin Yoga has been known to lead people to states of deep inner peace, calm and even bliss. This class is like nothing else out there. Yin Yoga gives us quietude, stillness and nothing to do. Your job in this class is to get into a suggested shape (to your appropriate edge) and stay there a while. The effects will be long-lasting and might even create the desire to practice Yin Yoga and meditation daily.

This class is suitable for ALL bodies. All work will be done on the floor and supported by soft props. Longer holds of poses allow for a deeper stretch that promotes healing for the physical body. Meditative tools will be used to help calm the mind and open the heart as well.

Yin Yoga

Have you tried yoga and said, “This just isn’t for me?” Do the images you see on tv intimidate you and you feel you “can’t do yoga?” Do you have physical limitations, but still want to practice yoga in a way that makes sense for your body today? If so, this class is designed just for you. Each class is taught based on each individual who is present in class- hence the name ‘everyBODY.’ Class will be modified based on who is in class and you will be welcomed and cared for exactly as you are.

Students who have limited mobility, chronic pain, injury or even those who just enjoy a more gentle yoga practice are welcome to attend. The focus of this class is healing the body from the inside out. Class includes instruction on breathing, gentle movement and guided meditation.

Yoga for EveryBODY / Chair Yoga

Yoga Nidra is the science of complete relaxation, also called Yogic Sleep. But, it is more than that. Rooted in a vast body of knowledge, Yoga Nidra has five different aims or outcomes. Depending upon which one of these five you wish to achieve, the approach changes. On the most basic level, Yoga Nidra is a comprehensive method for maximizing health and well being. On a deeper level, it is a profoundly spiritual practice and somewhere in between, it is one of the most profound and accessible ways to positively reshape the unconscious. This practice is highly recommended for individuals in treatment for PTSD or anyone who is ready for a deep rest and reset.
