Today’s mindfulness post is simple… Try not to take your physical body for granted. So often we think our bodies aren’t flexible enough, strong enough, skinny enough. Our knees hurt. Our wrists ache. The list goes on and on. This is just a friendly reminder to you to not take it for granted beginning today. Take this time to thank your body for being with you on this journey- aches, pains, all of it.
As a family member sits in the hospital tonight full of pain, I know she would give anything to go back to the arthritic knees and trouble in bridge pose. I have a feeling she would choose 10 bridge poses over the suffering her physical body is going through now. Remember, it is just a body. Like an old coat, we will shed it when we pass. This is the body we have in this lifetime. Cherish it.
